Do I pay a commission to on telephone enquiries?
Commission is only payable via internet bookings that have originated from our affiliated websites or through your direct internet booking located on your website
If my hotel has no internet can I still use the booking engine?
Yes, as long as you have access to a computer with internet access, for example at an internet café. Your availability list is stored on our booking engine. You can monitor the availability list through your access code from a computer anywhere in the world that has internet access. You must check into the system within 3 days of your last visit so we know that you’re still operating. This will help us avoid booking rooms if they are none available.
Can my travel agent take out rooms?
Yes. This can be done through you, or if you give your travel agent access to your availability list, then they can do it. Either way you don’t pay THINQ Net Bookings.com any commission.
How do we know that the enquiry comes from our website or think net bookings affiliated websites?
We track each booking and charge per booking. We will inform you where that booking has come from, and it’s easy for you to check to ensure the correct commission has been charged.
When setting my hotel rates what should I be looking for?
Most of you would have access to the previous year’s performance. Those figures are a great basis for helping you to determine room rates. Spend sometime for the next eighteen months working out the high and low seasons and price them accordingly. Pay particular attention to the first 60 days so you can extract the best returns possible. Remember, there will be thousands of people checking the websites and the rates who are in the process of making a decision.
How does collecting peoples emails help my business?
Having past guestsâ€?emails can be a very powerful tool for you to utilize in the future. First, the guest is already intimately familiar with your hotel and would love to hear about any specials you may have. Second, email alerts can be organized to coincide with any special events that may be occurring in the area, or to help fill rooms during quiet times. Emails can create a lot of goodwill between you and your past guests and can help make sure that your hotel remains fresh in their minds. Â
